Hotel standards seem to have slipped which is a pity

The room was large with very comfy beds but the pillows could do with being replaced as they were very lumpy. The breakfast is good with plenty of choice.

The bathroom was large however the toilet had a very bad flush and the shower hose and shower head need replacing as they look old and tatty. There is a lot of road noise so maybe windows need updating. Care needed when entering/exiting lift as it does not always stop flush with floor level. It seem a pity as this hotel has a building next door which has been fully refurbished but has not reopened since Covid.

Hotel Breakfast - What I like most is the Breakfast preparation. All food were served fresh and coffees are superb. The staff at the breakfast were friendly and accommodating. Location - Location wise of the hotel is good and practical. It is 2 mins walk to the metro station and a walking distance to any touristic areas like, Grand place, Christmas markets, etc.

Older hotel in the centre of Brussels, a walking distance from the central square.

Older but big rooms, very spacious, excellent breakfast. Everything is easy to get by foot or metro/public transport. Metro station Rogier is just accross the street.

Sweet hotel and lovely staff

The hotel was charming with a "vintage" feel. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. We especially liked the fact that our bed had a "top sheet" in addition to the duvet....that makes sleeping so much more comfortable than being either very hot with the duvet or freezing without it. The breakfast buffet was good and included with the room, so an added value and convenience.

It wasn't really the fault of the hotel, but there was a lot of street noise. Some was from road construction, which won't last forever, but most was sirens (that seemed to be constant) going to or from the hospital a block away. The elevator was a bit problematic. The button for the ground floor only functioned one time while we were there, so we had to go to floor 1 and walk down the stairs.

Pleasant stay & easily accessible

The best location and easily accessible. The staff was very cooperative and responsible. They have luggage storage in case you have flight in late hours.

It's good, worth the price, but some things could be improved.

This hotel is near the "Place Rogier", near Gran Place and other turistic destinations. It's easy to get any type of tranport, including buses, metro and train (very near the Nord Station). There is a Shopping (City 2) nearby with some options to eat and a Carrefour. Good breakfast, but I recommend you to get there earlier.

Besides the "non-smoking room" sign, my room had a strong smell of cigarettes. The beds are old and the mattress is very soft. There was a "hole" in one of the beds. The internet worked well but on Thursday morning there was a problem and the entire hotel lost internet. Reception informed that the technicians would only check on Friday, making any type of work impossible.
